This series of hand needle-felted works began as botanical drawings, originally created as flat, digital studies. Removed from the screen, each image is reworked fiber by fiber through a tactile, hands-on process—coaxing loose, cloud-soft wool into shape with a tiny barbed needle. What was once flat becomes soft, dimensional, and touchable.
The floral forms reference traditional still life and decorative pattern, but they aren’t intended to be botanically precise. Instead, they’re intuitive and expressive, shaped by color, repetition, and the quiet unpredictability of needle felting. As each piece is made, it develops its own personality—just imperfect enough to feel alive.
There are eight pieces in total—four grounded in earthy brown and four in soft pink—each complete on its own, but even more compelling mixed together. As a group, they celebrate process, material, and the pleasure of making something slowly by hand in a world that rarely asks us to.
